Less than 3 weeks of work-school left. I can hardly contain myself.
I have been spending time with a few co-workers after closing the last few weeks and it's been a blast. I can't believe I never really brown-bagged it on the beach before. It's funny seeing all ofthe paranoid teenagers chugging down gigantic bottles of booze with a 2-liter soda chaser. Ahhh, good times.
And tomorrow I am getting the cut. THE BIG CUT. Wish me luck while I try not to vomit on myself.

So I guess I've been a little busy. Here are some highlights to catch y'all up.
- I got my ass kicked by a 5 year old. I'm not kidding. This kindergartener freaked out about being dropped off in the morning and tried to bolt. I was alone with the kids (co-worker was late for a change) and I had to keep the kid inside since I couldn't take off after him. This pissed him off and he ended up kicking, hitting, biting me for 30 minutes. It was fantastic. I think if that didn't turn me off to kids I think I'm good.
- I totaled a car. It was not fun. It also wasn't my car. I was driving my grandma, sister and friend Amy to my uncle's 60th b-day in Livermore and we had made it to Fremont accident-free when the freeway slowed down and the the car in front of me slammed on its brakes. There were cars racing by on the right and pulled over into the emergency lane on the left and after skidding a great distance we hot. Pretty damn hard. The airbags deployed. There was smoke and bad smells and I freaked. I thought the smoke was the car catching on fire, but it turns out that it was airbags. We were really lucky that an off duty SJPD officer was a few cars back and he stopped and helped us out. Annie was fine, grandma a little sore from her seatbelt. My arms were bruised and burned from the airbags and I was sore for a few days, but relatively unharmed. Poor Amy got the brunt of it. We all saw it happening and she was turned sideways looking at me, so the airbag hit her at an angle. She had burns on her face and arms from the airbag and was all banged up and sore from the crashing. She's still off work on disability too.
I can't tell you how bad it felt, feels to know that I was responsible for wrecking my grandma's car and friend's body. I know there's not really anything that I could have done differently. I wasn't following closely, I wasn't speeding, I was paying attention, but still. It sucks regardless of intent. Amy's family was great coming to our rescue and I know my friends and family don't blame me, but I guess it is just something that I will have to get over with time.
- I know this may sound crazy considering the story I just told, but I got a new car. After we found out that grandma's car was, indeed, totaled, she started looking for replacements. She found a deal on a new-ish Civic that she really wanted to buy, but the car is smaller than what she wanted...so she bought it anyway and gave it to me.
-Work/school is out in a few weeks and they had too many people working summer camp so I am free until mid-July.Woo hoo! I have time off before I start grad school. Place I am/would like to go include:
*Disneland/LA
*Spend time in Woodland
*SF
*LONDON
I hope to catch up/hang out with the people who live all over the state that I don't get to see on a regular basis. So, if you miss me and want a visit in late June/early July, let me know and I'll try to set something up.
